I have know Tim Whitney for over 20 years. I ran the AT&T Fairhaven Data Center as a District Manager from 1983 to 1988. Tim worked in a Technical Support Group in the data center during that time. Tim performed various functions including facilities planning, network migrations, UNIX application support and the project management of mission critical application migrations.

More recently, over the past three years, Tim Whitney has supported a Grau Infinistore Virtual Disk system in the our data center in Sterling Virginia. Tim provided excellent support from timeliness, quality and communications perspectives. His broad knowledge of IT enabled him to understand not only the very technical inner workings of the IVD but the big picture and the Grau's role in the Architecture of my data center. Tim's knowledge of both the UNIX and Microsoft Operating Systems was key to that support. In addition, I always felt that Tim was my advocate when there was any discussion or disagreement on how to proceed with a problem. I have worked with many people in my 35 years in IT and very few have made me feel that I am receiving the very best support available at the moment. Tim worked with us thru numerous problems with the system and always kept me completely informed. Tim has a rare blend of technical, communication and managerial skills that make him a valuable asset to any technical organization.
